Editorial Policy
Accuracy
Every figure, name, ticker, and date we publish is drawn from public federal disclosures. Drafts are checked against the source filings before publication. Where we describe a pattern (such as a cluster of trades), we report the underlying counts and dates so readers can judge for themselves.
Use of AI — full disclosure
We are transparent about how we work: Congress Watch articles are drafted by an automated research system and reviewed by a human editor before they are published. The system is restricted to the supplied data and may not invent information. Our editor is accountable for everything that appears on the site. See our Methodology for the full process.
Independence & conflicts of interest
Coverage decisions are driven by the data, not by advertisers or any outside party. Congress Watch does not hold positions designed to benefit from its coverage. Advertising (where present) is clearly labeled and kept separate from editorial content.
Fairness
We report disclosed trades as facts and frame questions as questions. We do not allege that any lawmaker broke the law; STOCK Act trades are legal and publicly reported. We apply the same standard to members of every party.
Corrections
We fix errors promptly and transparently. To report one, see our Corrections page.
