About Congress Watch
Congress Watch is a daily broadsheet covering the stock trades of United States members of Congress. Every trade we report comes from public disclosures filed under the STOCK Act of 2012, which requires members to report their securities transactions.
How we work
Each day we review the latest filings — individual trades, clusters where several members move into the same stock, and the committee markup calendar that often precedes those moves — and publish a short, plain-English brief on what stood out and why it matters.
An important caveat
Congressional trades are disclosed up to roughly 45 days after they happen, by law. We are reporting on patterns in public records, not real-time activity, and nothing here is a recommendation. This is editorial research, not financial advice.
